After finishing a particularly tasty meal, Indy flashed me some gang signs.
Or, maybe it was to say she was all done.

Indy and I enjoyed an evening at the beach together while daddy went to a football game. We played in the water and (un)built castles together.
After, we split a veggie burger and a side of fries by the boardwalk and watched the sun go down. She kept saying “the sun is coming down!” It was the best $17 spent that I can remember.
Also, she’s discovered a new favorite thing besides “special brown sauce” (Nutella). Ketchup. Or, “special red dip sauce.” Daddy would be proud.
This week, we tried giving in to Indy’s dinner-time requests to give her the bowl and spoon. The result was her successfully figuring out how to use them. In this video, she is helping herself to one of her favorite dishes – split pea soup. We were duly impressed.

Indy has picked up an adorable trait, purposefully dropping something, then pronouncing it to be an accident with an “uh-oh”. Hilarity ensues.

I’ve been signing with Indy about a dozen signs since the 4th month. The first one to be signed back was milk – but now Indy thinks all food is “milk”.
We’ll keep working on it – but I do think it’s pretty clever of her, after all, it is indeed food.
